Description

This mod changes:

  • Skin color
    • From black/brown to white
  • Race
    • From Redguard to Nordic
  • Gender & Voices
    • Changing female fighters to male fighters, include guards and bandits (not sure about bandits, can't remember) for both vanilla (not sure, can't remember) and for added by mods listed below (that I'm sure of)
    • Does not affect story NPC, like the blade one in the first village tavern, for example.
  • Eyes
    • Changing color to fit the new skin color, (possibly shape too, not sure for that one)
  • Nose
    • Changing shape to fit new skin color

Anyway, the Redguard and female fighters NPCs affected are:

  • All vanilla NPCs (unless one escaped me)
  • All DLCs NPCs (unless one escaped me)
  • All "Cutting room floor" NPCs
  • All "populated cities and town little" NPCs
  • All "Lakeview manor" NPCs (I May had merge my mod with one that replace the bard with a female one, not sure)
  • Armor guard replacer (not that one changed NPC, but I had it noted on the thing so I guess it does affect it somehow)

Installation

1) Open the file and take out the files you want.

"Redguard Fix - ESL - For Vanilla & DLCs" for vanilla players.

If you use both Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch & Cutting Room Floor; Replace the ESP with the one from the "Redguard Fix - ESL - Optional ESP" folder.

Note; the optional ESP was made for my game, I am using USSEP v4.2.6a & CRF v3.1.11 in French. You may encounter npc with French words in their names. (for example; Vignar Gray-Mane will become Vignar Grisetoison)

I do not know if the patch is compatible with newer version of USSEP & CRF. It probably is, but some of the changes that may be in the new version affecting the same npcs as my mod will be undone.

2) Install it like you would any other mods.

  • with a mod manager
  • or by manually placing the files in the Data folder, then launch the game and manually activate the esp through the menu.
  • For the optional ESP, place it in the data folder and replace the other one. Make sure to load the optional ESP after USSEP & CRF.

ESP are both flag as ESL.

Potential problems:

A subtle difference between torso and neck can be seen if you look closely. You can fix that by using a skin texture mod (any should do just fine as long as it only touch skin textures).

If you use other mods that further change NPCs, you may experience grey face bug, to fix that you can try to;

  • place my mod below them
  • patch it yourself with SSEEdit
  • try some of the "grey face" / "discoloration" fix mods, there is a few of them on nexus.
