Description[edit | edit source]

I love Agony !!! It's one of my absolute favourite mods for Fallout 4 and should get much more appreciation (and much fewer stupid comments!!) for what it achieves. That said, there are some tiny flaws I try to address with some little fixes and adaptations. Extended Agony is the Redux of my other mod Agony Fix.

I did these fixes without editing any FormID's on the Agony mod itself. Everything is done with scripts to achieve minimum (if any) impact and compatibility/permission issues. For this reason, some features may not work as smoothly as I hoped. If the author of Agony should give me permission to use his assets, this may change in the future (but rather not...). Please read the 'Issue' section for more information and tips on how to fix them.

Update: meysamkhr gave me permission to use Agony assets as long as Extended Agony it's dependent on it. This will open up new and better implementation of these fixes in the future. Big props to meysamkhr!! Your awesome.

Changes[edit | edit source]

  • Animation Fix. Weapons get holstered if needed when applying Agony's medicine/surgical-tools.
  • Now the 'pill animation' plays for the painkillers to.
  • Empty blood pack can be crafted at the chem-station under the healing section (requires Medic lvl1 perk).
  • You have a 20% chance to get an empty blood pack back on consumption of a (save) blood pack.
  • Sleep does not heal health or limb condition.
  • Agony's diseases/conditions get healed by a doctor when healing HP.
  • Ingredients to craft Agony's medicine (like wild carrot, ash blossom, aso) get sold by doctors. (Leveled List Injected)
  • Added 'Medical Treatment' Quick-Menu.
  • Added 'Troubleshooting' options.
  • Extended Agony MCM Menu & Hotkeys

All of these changes can be enabled/disabled or edited in the holotape options or the MCM menu.

Requirements[edit | edit source]

Agony

Supported[edit | edit source]

Raider Overhaul - Expired and Sealed Pain Killers have the same effect as the Pain Killers from Agony incl. the animation. Works out of the box and doesn't require any additional patch - Raider Overhaul is purely optional !!

Loadorder[edit | edit source]

Extended Agony v1.01+ needs to be loaded after Agony

Usage[edit | edit source]

After installing Extended Agony and starting the game all changes will be applied immediately.

Issues[edit | edit source]

Technical stuff ahead... read it anyways!!

The way Extended Agony fixes the animation issue is by trying to intercept the gap between the potion consumption and the animation. It removes the players controls and so forcing the holster/unholster animation, which removes the weapon from the players hands. Works fine most of the times and looks pretty sweat.

But depending on the ongoing animation or the complexity of the weapons animation in general, this may not work. Pills/Sleep Aid work 99% of the time, Bandages 95%... but Surgery animations are a b****!!

I've added a 'Troubleshooting' section in the Holotape and the MCM where you can 'Soft Reset' Extended Agony's event registration and options. This help from time to time... Should it not, you can 'Force Unequip' the weapon for every animation type individually. Looks less smooth but does the job.

If you don't mind loosing the un-/holstering animation you could also use 'Agony Animation Fixes' by GloriousWarrior. Just turn off the 'Animation fix' option in the MCM or Holotape if you're using both our mods in tandem.
