Description[edit | edit source]
This mod changes all the tree's in the Commonwealth into mostly pines, and a few other types of tree's. It adds much more depth and ambiance to the environment, while also not crowding scene's too much and generally keeping most lines of sight open. I've added a TreePlacementFix.esp to move some oddly placed tree's around Sanctuary, and a texture replacement for the Far Harbor pines. Enjoy!
In order to get lush and dense looking forest, like in the screenshots, you must add the line "bUseCombinedObjects=0"
to the GENERAL section in your Fallout4.ini found in Documents/My Games/Fallout4
So it looks like this:
[General] sLanguage=en uGridsToLoad=5 uExterior Cell Buffer=36 bDisableAllGore=0 SIntroSequence=0 fChancesToPlayAlternateIntro=0 uMainMenuDelayBeforeAllowSkip=0 bUseCombinedObjects=0
You don't have to add this line into your ini. file if you don't want, however not all the tree's will be present. After that just download and install with NMM like normal.
INI UPDATE!
User's my also want to try adding "bUsePreCreatedSCOL=0"
in addition to "bUseCombinedObjects=0"
for a TOTAL forest overhaul. This will alter EVERY tree giving you a VERY dense forest. Once again your Fallout4.ini should look like this:
[General] sLanguage=en uGridsToLoad=5 uExterior Cell Buffer=36 bDisableAllGore=0 SIntroSequence=0 fChancesToPlayAlternateIntro=0 uMainMenuDelayBeforeAllowSkip=0 bUseCombinedObjects=0 bUsePreCreatedSCOL=0
A. The "bUseCombinedObjects=0"
line might interfere with certain mods, such as Spring Cleaning, and a few others. So be aware of that, do your homework and make sure everything is ok before adding the line. Also its been said to cause slow down, however I've had the line in my ini for months now and no issue's. And I by no means have any sort of beefy rig (i5/r9-380).
B. You might see some floating moss here and there.
