Description[edit | edit source]
Ever found yourself wondering after a fight how most of a bandit fort happened to be female? Or perhaps you fought your way through a camp of large Orcish bandits only to find the bandit chief being a dainty Breton woman? Maybe you were wondering how the population of Skyrim is not heavily aging because of low birthrates? Maybe about why women are turning to a life of crime and banditry when they probably have families to support them and fathers to oppose them? Maybe about why the Stormcloaks send them to the front lines to die when having families and raising strong children is one of the best things they could hope for to ensure Skyrim's future?
So many possible questions, yet no logical answer to them. This mod aims to rectify that by removing most (if not all) women from leveled lists in many instances to offer a heightened sense of immersion and not leave you wondering so often as to why something is the way it is in-game.
The most affected factions by far are bandits and civil war soldiers along with some other smaller factions, but there is a version that leaves magic-wielding factions or groups untouched like warlocks and Thalmor wizards who don't engage in melee combat.
This mod adds three ESP files:
- MasculinizedLevelLists.esp - This is the main mod file and must be enabled.
- MasculinizedLevelListsDG.esp - This is the supplemental file for Dawnguard. Disable if you do not have the Dawnguard DLC installed.
- MasculinizedLevelListsDB.esp - This is the supplemental file for Dragonborn. Disable if you do not have the Dragonborn DLC installed.
